Small Radiators

Column radiators offer exceptional heat output despite their compact size, thanks to their increased surface area. For small spaces, triple or four-column designs can provide up to 50% more heat than equivalent-sized panel radiators.

For bathrooms, we recommend calculating your BTU requirements first. Generally, a 400mm x 600mm radiator will sufficiently heat a 4m² bathroom. Consider a dual-fuel option for year-round towel warming capability.

Modern compact radiators are perfectly capable of heating cloakroom spaces. A 400mm x 400mm model typically provides ample heat for a standard cloakroom while maintaining precious space.

For bedrooms, consider vertical models to maximise floor space. Position them away from curtains and furniture for optimal heat distribution. A 1600mm x 300mm vertical radiator typically suits a 12m² bedroom perfectly.

Kitchen radiators need to work around cabinets and appliances. Low-level models (300mm height) work brilliantly under windows, while vertical designs can use narrow wall spaces between units.

Low-height radiators are ideal for bay window installations. Choose models under 300mm in height with extended width to maintain adequate heat output while fitting neatly beneath the windowsill.

The smallest effective radiators start from 200mm x 600mm. Their efficiency depends on correct BTU sizing – even tiny radiators can heat effectively if properly specified for the space.

Contemporary flat panel and vertical designs offer excellent space efficiency. Look for models with multiple panels to increase heat output without expanding the footprint.

Modern slim radiators (under 70mm depth) can match standard radiator performance through improved internal design and convection technology. They’re particularly effective when paired with quality thermostatic valves.

Consider multi-column designs or double panel models which increase surface area without expanding width. Proper positioning away from obstacles ensures optimal heat distribution.

Low-level radiators offer versatile installation options, particularly under windows or in loft spaces. They provide excellent heat distribution at lower heights and can be ideal for rooms with limited wall space.

For optimal performance, position small living room radiators under windows where possible to counter cold downdraughts. If using multiple small radiators, space them evenly around the room for uniform heat distribution.
